Annual Goose Round Up

We will do our annual goose roundup at Grand Lake St. Mary's on Wednesday June 10th.  We will meet at Mercer Wildlife Area Refuge headquarters at 8:00 AM.  We will band 170 goslings and any adults we catch as we are reaching our gosling quota.  If folks from OWA want to volunteer to assist in this operation have them e-mail Brett Beatty at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it as he will be coordinating volunteers.  We will also be banding goslings in Darke, Clark, Miami (30); Preble, Montgomery, Greene (50); and Clinton, Brown, Warren (30).  We will do these banding operations the week(s) following the Mercer Roundup.  Again volunteers are welcome but we will only be able to provide short notice on these bandings as schedules, weather and opportunities dictate a flexible schedule.
